With the current workforce of 21,000 in India, Oracle has planned to hire 3,500 employees across all its domestic and global business , according to a report by Times of India.
"With our current workforce and the new hire plan of adding 3,500 more people, we want to ensure we have the right talent, skills and attitude to fuel the growth of our company and serve our customers as they embark on their transformation journeys," said Sandeep Mathur , Oracle India in a media statement.
The firm has already started its hiring campaign through social networking sites like Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube. Also it has mentioned about the hiring on their official blog.
At present Oracle has its development centers in Bangalore and Hyderabad in India.
This recruitment plan is considered to be the result of the company's growth across business units. Recently, Oracle has come up with "Oracle Database Appliance" and the "Oracle SPARC SuperCluster T4-4" to offer customers choice and a wide array of products and solutions spanning database, middleware, applications and hardware in the Indian market.

KPIT CUMMINS
PUNE: KPIT Cummins Infosystems will launch the PACCAR Technical Center in Pune, India. This centre will eventually have 200 employees focussing on engineering, information technology and component sourcing for worldwide production and aftermarket operations, according to a release posted on PACCAR's website. This centre will be located near KPIT Cummins' main campus at Hinjewadi, Pune.
PACCAR is a US $10.29 billion commercial vehicle maker under the Kenworth, Peterbilt and DAF name plates. The company also provides customised financial services, information technology and truck parts related to commercial trucks. Globally, it is regarded as the third largest commercial vehicle maker by unit sales, after Daimler AG and Volvo.
The statement quotes Todd Coulter, PACCAR India executive director, saying, "The PACCAR India Technical Center will deliver quality resources to our global engineering and IT organisations and enable PACAR to accelerate new product development."
In its investor update, released along with its Q2 results, KPIT Cummins has noted, "This partnership is a significant achievement as it is one of the largest deals in our business history and it is spread across different business units."
KPIT Cummins has reported a 51% growth, quarter on quarter, in its Q2 net profit, to Rs. 36.47 crore in revenues of Rs. 325.01 crore. It has also announced it will invest upto US $0.75 million in a subsidiary in Brazil, following its customer.
